LexisNexis - Desktop Support » P.A.M. (2005-2006)

The need for an accessible and streamlined database front-end was identified for the department. PAM (short for PC Asset Management) is the web-based intranet application that I helped implement for this purpose. My contributions included programming the entire interface from the HTML & CSS to the ASP routines that drive the site.

This system replaced the antiquated Access database and manual processes that accompanied it with an entire cradle to grave tracking process. The PC requesting process was also redefined with this tool, allowing for all interaction to be web and database driven. This application allows for management of the entire life cycle of the equipment from acquisition to liquidation, giving periodic reports such as equipment status & assignment, and also provide quick data retrieval for business management decisions. In addition to usage by the main campus, several satellite offices are able to track their own equipment using this tool.

News Barometer (2006)

A local weekly newspaper in the Florida Keys, News Barometer’s new web site is under development to provide a more robust interface, direct weekly publishing via a content management system, and access to archived editions. The content is managed through a CMS called PROPS, an open source system that focuses on edition-based publications instead of daily blogs. The system was integrated into the design and modified to accomodate the site’s needs.

Oh Where To Go? (2004)

My final project for my CIS130 web development class. The goal was to create a travel information site of our favorite three places. Using CSS and creativity was a requirement for this, so in my mind a travel notebook was a great idea to express my travel interests.

i-Net+ Exam Flash Cards (2000)

This site was created to aid myself and others study for CompTIA’s i-Net+ Exam. This site utilizes JavaScript to randomly select a question from a flat text file when the “Show Question” button is clicked. It then sets up a browser cookie to “remember” which answer to pull up when the “Show Answer” button is clicked.
